In my PhD project I explore how a social contract theory perspective affects the design of human-centered AI in the context of public services. In close collaboration with a Norwegian welfare organization, I aim to develop design guidelines for using AI technology in the public sector.

During my PhD, I conducted an integrated research visit at Saidot, an AI governance company. During the project, I conducted user research to understand the motivations and challenges of organizations to implement AI governance measures, and developed a task-based AI System Lifecycle Governance concept, which was evaluated through a prototype in qualitative user studies.
